I am still baking.26 done...13 more to go...and yeah packing too and picking up my kids from the school.and in between all that whenever I manage to get some time craft.Today I have another Thank you card to share.I had all the intentions to enter the CASual Fridays challenge but missed it.
However I have managed to make something inspired by the current sketch at Skipping Stones challenge and Color Q colors.Also entering it at Peachy keen challenge- Anything goes

Thank YOU with a new stamping technique

Hi peeps!
I am very busy right now ...with what?packing? NO ...I mean yes but baking too....Have baked 15 cakes since wednesday...13 banana breads and 2 sponge ( iced them).For who? Everyone possible  in the station including the DSC guards,mess staff and the tailor.TEN more to go.
have also made thank you cards for each one of them.Now have run short of few so making more.
This one is for one such purpose.
I have used a new stamping technique on this one inspired by Katie Gehring of Skipping Stones design.
Basically you stamp first with the back of a large solid stamp in a lighter color and then with the main image of the same stamp in darker color.isn't that BRILLIANT?

A quick post today to show the two tags I made for mothers of new born babies.yeah its raining babies here ...and two fine ladies were blessed with a baby boy and a baby girl last week.i won't be meeting them when I come back from my holiday....which is tomorrow.I am going to Pune tom and for two months.So no crafting for next two months......and that's sad.

How cool is that?Well so what was the mistake?Choosing a wrong Digi and colouring it( there' s no turning back after a mistake)This digi is from saturated canary and I loved it ....so whats the problem? ...it is  for a breast cancer patient.But why fret when we have embellies?I embellished and covered the breast cancer ribbon with a Pie lane yellow flower.

Tag for a little girl.

It has taken me longer than usual to come up with my creation for the Skipping stones sketch design this time ......partly because I was out of station until this Tuesday and partly because it is almost summer here and creepy crawlies are out and two Geckos decided to either mate in my craft room ... or maybe it was a process of shedding their tails....whatever it was ...it was creepy and made me work in the dining area with my younger one having her lunch....so you get the pic right?....but I am happy with the result and the fact that I did create something.
My daughters as usual are invited for a birthday party and I created this Tag for the bday girl. But although its a tag ...it still is a pic heavy post ...coz I have tried to click the pictures from various angles to show off the popped image.
Also since it is a bday present...decided last minute to show you the wrapped present as well.

It has taken me long to come with a card this week...not because of lack of mojo but because i am overworked.One of my daughters is at home and as usual the domestic help is missing ...so I guess you get the picture.

Baby card with Color Q colours

The new sketch at skipping stones is out and here's my take on that.I made a baby card because I know somebody who is recently blessed with a baby girl and also because Casual Fridays' current challenge asks us to create a baby card.the colors are Color Q's current challenge inspired ones.The chick was inspired by the current inspiration at Cupcake inspirations.

Framed card for Skipping Stones

One of my favourite challenge blogs is Skipping Stones and this time there sketch is pretty intriguing but i am happy that though after three days I managed to come up with something.Hope you like it .
The colours are inspired by the current challenge at Colour Q.
This one is also apt for the current challenge at Crafty JC.

The stamp is unity so I am entering it at Unity Ippity CAS challenge.The current challenge at DYSU asks one to create sonething with wings  and i have two different creatures with wings on this card.
the sentiment is from a stamp that I bought from Jovita.The ribbon is from my stash and the die cuts are bought from Ujjwal.The bird image is stamped and heat embossed.

CAS card for Skipping stones

I am enjoying and looking forward to Skipping stones sketches and this time too it was no exception.I made a card as soon as I saw the sketch but had to wait till the morning to click the picture.
No point doing that anyway because it is gloomy and dark in the mornings as well.
To cheer me up in this grey and gloomy weather I used COLOR Q colors and stamped butterflies on this card.

Trifold card...my first one

WARNING-This is a picture heavy post
I love skipping stones sketch...and the current one was particularly challenging for me...and because I could think of nothing else and also because this is what came first to my mind after a good look at the sketch...I went with this idea.
The stamp is a RAK from Piali...isn't it beautiful? thanks Piali.The chevron strips are from pie Lane.
I am very pleased with my first attempt at Trifold window card....

In a row this is the third day that my card has made it to top three...This time at Beyond Grey challenges.

My first scrapbook layout

Hi long time no see...Thats because I have been busy...with a lot of things and eventually I will tell ya all about that.One of them being I am in a process of pickling carrots,cauliflower and turnip....my yearly affair.And because I do not have a domestic help for almost a fortnight now...have to do everything...which gets quite cumbersome.
Anyway...please be gentle this is my first scrapbook layout and for all you pros out there this must be really shoddy work....but I enjoyed it.this is one of my fav pictures of daughters and I wanted to make my first scrapbook page with this pic.Close shot of my fav pic
The suitable challenges for this one are Pollycraft Monday,ICR and The colours are PDCC.The layout is inspired by the current sketch at the Skipping stones but I was late in entering the LO.
BTW my card won at the Skipping stones challenge.

I find this crafting really therapeutic...thats why I craft as much as possible.its getting very difficult for me with regular powercuts....no domestic help...and sub zero temperatures.But like I said earlier this helps me heal the negative side of me.....I craft as often as possible
I made this for Skipping Stones sketch and for Scrapbook Essentials challenge blog.So it doesn't take rocket science to figure that the layout of the card is inspired by Skipping Stones sketch and the colours used are olive ,suede and blue which are the colors of Scrapbook Essentials.
I have used stamps which I bought from Ujjwal and Jovita and used Tim holtz distress inks.The roses are from Ujjwal too and the white one was distressed.Because this is CAS card I am also entering it at The ICR challenge.
This card made me smile...I hope it makes you smile too.
