Hi!Good morning. Just a quick note.Posting the pics of Pavlova and pumpkin pie that accompanied the recipe cards ...I rambled about a a couple of days ago.

The end product looked like this .

Hope you liked it .

Thanks for passing by.

I am recovering from a bad attack of food poisoning .....(if it helps I did not cook ...had lamb rack at a restaurant and grateful that nobody else in my family suffered)...so to cheer myself up will make another card and subject you poor souls to viewing it.

Hope your Monday is anything but blue.....

                                                    DANCE LIKE NOBODY IS WATCHING!

Hi!Hope your Sunday is going well.Mine is ....why?because I made a card for a friend who has recently opened her dance academy in Pune. She is a Bharatnatyam dancer and with the blessings of her guru has started a dance academy in Pune, where she teaches this beautiful dance form to young girls.I hope to send my daughters to her class some day.

Alright coming back to the card, I downloaded the image of a bharatnatyam dancer ,pasted it on word document and then printed it out and coloured .Thats the insides of my card alongwith the sentiment "Enthusiasm is the engine of success."Isn't that true? Without enthusiasm there truly is no way to achieve success.

I have included a close up of the bharatnatyam dancer . Sorry I tried a lot but the image hasn't come clear. I guess its a cue for my husband to pick a new camera.I hope he reads this one and does the need ful asap.

The sentiment on the top of the card says "Dancing is like dreaming with your feet."How true especially for a dancer ....

The embellishement was paper pieced together from here.

The image is of a cute dancer...okay its a ballerina ...but ain't that a dance form too?

Hope you liked the card .I loved making it .

Thanks for passing by and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

BACK TO SCHOOL  PROJECT -PART ONE

Hi! Trisha's school reopens next week and she is thrilled to be in grade 4  and joining back and so am I...for different reasons altogether.I have been busy making BACK TO SCHOOL projects for her . It is time consuming since I am using paper piecing techniques for the first time  but nevertheless  a fun activity. It was intended to be a surprise for her but then creative that she is ...she could not resist peeping into my art room and and then eventually helping me .She is good with computers so the back to school sentiment was typed and designed by her .She also taught me the cool tape effect for the same tiles . Child is the father of man is afterall pretty appropriate .

I have a couple of other projects lined up which I shall be finishing this week and then shall share it with you.

The birds , trees ,deer and squirrel were paper pieced from here.

The bus was paper pieced from here.

Haven't used any embellishments since it was not practical ,considering the clipboard is going to be used by her.

I wanted a simple clip on clipboard to modify for her homework assignments but could not find one .Hopefully this shall serve the purpose and will survive at least half the year . Although this was meant to be for homework purposes since ,Trisha gets her homework in handouts and then has to use the dining table for a solid support, she loved the idea and has decided to carry it to school too.Now she wants her new backpack big enough to accomodate the clipboard.Sigh.....another project.

Thanks for passing by and reading  about my mundane motherly activities.

Have a super sunday.See you soon .

Cheers!

                                                                         Oh BROTHER!

Rakshabandhan is around the corner and I have three rakhis to send .Two from my daughters to their cousins and one for my brother.I decided to make three cards to send along with the rakhis.

This super hero image was chosen for Ishaan my nephew because he really is a superhero. He is into sports and has great oratory skills.Isn't that a making of a super hero? And besides that he is an extremely polite and sensitive kid. Therefore to balance the superhero toughness I have added flower like embellishments to the card.

As  you can see each card has a "brother" sentiment which was computer generated after typing.

The insides of each card also has a brother sentiment  too to make it special.

Ain't this guy cool? This one is for Anish my nephew from my daughters because all of us truly feel that he is a cool kid.He is into a lot of movie making ,great music , reading and is  a computer genius so I thought this image suited him the best.To add to his super coolness have reinforced the fact by adding boy with earphones embellishment.

The last one where the two kids are holding hands has been chosen for my brother who is 11 years younger than me and is in the army. He has a great sense of humour but not better than mine(ha ha !) and since I keep teasing him and pulling his leg there was no better sentiment than  the one I chose for his card. The stars on the sentiment are chosen to reinforce the fact that he is a "Star brother".

Hope you liked the cards .I am off to post them....will let you know what the brothers thought about their cards later.

Happy Rakshabandhan to all of you .

Thanks for passing by.

Hi!Good morning . Have something early in the morning today. Two of my girlfriends asked me for the recipes of Pavlova and pumpkin pie and since I hate the routine I decided to spice up this entire recipe project.I downloaded an apron template and then improvised with the pie, chef and the waitress image.

I chose butterflies as the embellishments for the waitress card since it is obviously feminine and the strawberries for the chef card because pavlova is garnished with strawberries.

Loved the effect .Also the recipes are typed , cut and laminated so that they are practically spill proof . I hope the recipients like them.Ohh yeah I am baking individual pavlovas and pies for each one of them and then shall pack them in corrugated boxes along with these recipe cards.

Will share the images of the box and the reactions of my friends in the next post.

Can't wait for Friday when the gift box with the recipes is due to be delivered at another coffee morning.

Have a great day and let me know what you think about these.

Bloody excited!!!!!!

Good evening. Tonight I am sharing a gift tag I made for a friend on his birthday. The sentiment has been printed out and then the image of pie was stuck on the card. The gift inside the corrugated box was  a homemade pumpkin pie therefore the matching sentiment and the image. The embellishments are buttons and the star and two beads were used to decorate the string that held the card.

Hope you liked this project. I enjoyed doing it.

Have a good night. See you soon.

Good evening. Sorry haven't posted anything in a long time . Was busy with the international night and then with the cofee morning I hosted last Friday.Made 8 invitations for the coffee morning and unfortunately some pictures are blurred. Hence posting only the clear ones. The image was same on all cards but the sentiments and the coffee quote on each card was different.

The sentiments were computer generated and the quotes inside the cards were all related to coffee and they were comp generated too.The embellishments are from different places and a few are quilled petals too. Thanks for passing by. Have a great week.
