Magic Explosion Box

Magic Explosion box.View from the top.

Magic spills out the moment the lid is taken off the box.

Hi peeps!
I spent my Saturday night and Sunday morning very constructively. And I am beaming from ear to ear...why?Because I fulfilled my dream of making an Explosion Box with the help of  dear friend and blogger Karuna. She patiently answered my incessant questions and helped me with the dimensions too. After all she is an expert Explosion Box maker. Here and here is the link to her beautiful boxes.
We have a ladies club meet coming up and the theme is FUSION.I racked my tiny brains for two nights and guess when did the Light Bulb moment arrive...While Brushing my teeth.!!!...Maybe the action must have brushed some dust over my brains too.But then it is the bathroom where all my creative ideas start forming. That's the quietest and most clutter free spot in my house...not to forget most PEACEFUL too.
Okay enough digressing.....My logic behind the explosion box is that it is a fusion of a box and a card....and  a pretty deceptive card at that.It is impossible to judge from this Box's outer appearence...what lies inside. What do you think? Let me know.
Some detail shots of the fun elements.

Unity stamp. to add to the feminine touch

The tag with a tea pot...high tea right? winks!!!!

The invite with a silhouette

Another tag with heat embossing and some distressing.

A dress perched on a pedestal---More to woman power

handmade flower inspired by lKalindi( not half as nice as hers)

This is how it looks when the ribbon is opened.

Hanging treat box made with Love and a lot of inspiration

Long title...long day.....sleepy....tired...head ache....does it make sense?It doesn't matter.
what matters is despite all this I managed to craft.its windy, cloudy and extremely cold again...but i made this one for a friend and her kids. The wine is for a friend and the chocolates for her kid.....Duh need I explain that?
so I made this hanging treat box.
My inspiration came from the current challenge at ICR.It is a photo inspiration and love based challenge and here's my take on it.
I have used whit CS from fabriano erre elle, the pp is from Echo park and the mulberry roes are from ujjwal's shop. The leaves and the glitter are from pie lane.the tag and the alphas are chipboard from ujjwal's store.Ribbon is from Jovita's store ans the twine is from my stash.
Some detail shots.Pie lane glitter and Pie lane leaves.

My first scrapbook layout

Hi long time no see...Thats because I have been busy...with a lot of things and eventually I will tell ya all about that. One of them being I am in a process of pickling carrots, cauliflower and turnip....my yearly affair. And because I do not have a domestic help for almost a fortnight now...have to do everything...which gets quite cumbersome.
Anyway...please be gentle this is my first scrapbook layout and for all you pros out there this must be really shoddy work....but I enjoyed it.this is one of my fav pictures of daughters and I wanted to make my first scrapbook page with this pic.Close shot of my fav pic
The suitable challenges for this one are Pollycraft Monday,ICR and The colours are PDCC.The layout is inspired by the current sketch at the Skipping stones but I was late in entering the LO.
BTW my card won at the Skipping stones challenge.

(W)Hole card

I am doing a lot of interesting things nowadays and today I have something to share which i have never done before.it was quite challenging to print the image and sentiment but finally I managed to nail it.
The image is from Birdie Brown and the inspiration for this card is from the current challenge at Less is more which asks one to make a card with a hole in it.ICR is also an inspiration to make this CAS card.
Srinanda from pie lane had asked us to use border strips on our cards and this one is for you Srinanda. The gorgeous silver border strip is from Pie lane.

Cute is in

Hey Peeps!
How are ya?I have resigned to my fate( It is still bloody cold and gloomy here) and trying to find solace in crafting. It is getting increasingly difficult to craft too .My fingers are freezing and so I try to thaw them every now and then...sometimes in front of the blower and other times I light the stove and do the needful.I am worried one of these days my fingers may get cooked.
Alright The card I am sharing today is inspired by the CAS bug I am bitten by this month. The sketch is from OWH and the digis are from Lawnscaping challenges.
I have used this beautiful CS which I bought from Jovita. She has some amazing stamps and other stuff in her store .Do check out her store.I have picked up some ribbons from her store too and will use them soon on my projects.
I have used the stamp I bought from her on the insides of my card .
The insides.
This card also enters the current challenge at ICR.
I also love this size of card.I personally think you can't go wrong with this size and shape.

Bday card for a little girl

Hi peeps!
This is my second DT post for the year and It is a bday card and a CAS one.
I hope you will play along with us at The Crafter's Cafe since the theme is so versatile with so many possibilities.
I am also taking this opportunity to enter this card for the current challenge at ICR.
The sketch is inspired by the one at CPS and I am late to enter this card over there but nevermind.
Since I used a chipboard tag for stamping Birthday wishes ;this card is also suitable for the current challenge at CASual Fridays.
Thanks for passing by.
