Tag for a little girl.
It has taken me longer than usual to come up with my creation for the Skipping stones sketch design this time ......partly because I was out of station until this Tuesday and partly because it is almost summer here and creepy crawlies are out and two Geckos decided to either mate in my craft room ... or maybe it was a process of shedding their tails....whatever it was ...it was creepy and made me work in the dining area with my younger one having her lunch....so you get the pic right?....but I am happy with the result and the fact that I did create something.
My daughters as usual are invited for a birthday party and I created this Tag for the bday girl. But although its a tag ...it still is a pic heavy post ...coz I have tried to click the pictures from various angles to show off the popped image.
Also since it is a bday present...decided last minute to show you the wrapped present as well.

I have a box to show you today. You have seen similar ones on my blog earlier too but this one is for a little girl inspired by the current challenges at DYSU and sentimental sundays...both being GO GREEN /RECYCLE.Since I d do not have anything to recycle as of now I went with the GO GREEN part of the challenge.
Another view of the box
The digi image is from Creative hands.I have paper pieced it.The bling is from kaiser kraft bought from Ujjwal. So are the green mulberry roses.

The butterfly stamp is from unity keeping mind their current challenge ( things with wings).

Words of encouragement on Sentimental sundays
This card is for someone who needs to cheer up...I do not know of anybody except me who can use this card.I need all the encouragement possible...coz this place is really depressing and the weather is still grey. This weekend we thought of driving down ....where?.... anywhere which is not Udhampur ...but could not because it was scarily windy and rainy and a day overpowered by thunderstorm. So I sulked and sulked. My husband suggested we go and catch a movie in the only theatre in Udhampur called RAJ THEATRE.It is the filthiest theatre anyone would have ever seen .I have been tempted to grab a couple of seat covers and wash them in my washing machine....anyway thats not the story.Coming to the movie ...(I try and go in the theatre while it is dark and leave it too when it is still dark...that way I try to create an illusion in my mind that the theatre is not filthy) we were in all six people in the theatre and the movie running was Jodi breakers...in less than ten- fifteen minutes we realised that it was a sex comedy( tasteless) and so we were forced to leave the theatre since our daughters accompanied us.
There isn't a single decent joint / restaurant/ take away so we came home and had dal chawaal.
I guess I have convinced you enough that I seriously need encouragement to pull on over here.
hence this card.
The INSIDES.
The craft is my only getaway here and Thanks to Sentimental Sundays(Words of encouragement),PDCC ( colours) and Card patterns( sketch).. Lia stampz( Tic Tac Toe)...Mine is flowers...ribbon and scallops...I managed to survive one more day here.
The sentiment is from ginger's house, the butterfly is a digital one,the flowers are from pie lane and the ribbon is a RAK from Hussena.
Thanks for passing by.

Brick wall for less is more
The current challenge at Less is more asks the participants to make something CAS using neutral colours. And this is my take on it.I loved it the way it turned out.BTW Sorry for the poor picture quality. Its quite a feat That I manged to click it.Extremely grey and scarily windy outside.my card flew away a couple of times.Plus accompanied are thunderbolts in spurts.
What do you think?
THE INSIDES.
The stamp was bought from mansi. It was stamped twice using two different inks.the image was then cut and each piece distressed and arranged back like a brick wall.I love the shadowy effect.I tried using the same technique on the sentiment.
Hope you like my experiment...inspired by the tutorial at Splitcoast stampers.

The colours are inspired by the current challenge at Colour Q.
This one is also apt for the current challenge at Crafty JC.
Close up of the embossed sentiment.
The stamp is unity so I am entering it at Unity Ippity CAS challenge. The current challenge at DYSU asks one to create sonething with wings and i have two different creatures with wings on this card.
the sentiment is from a stamp that I bought from Jovita. The ribbon is from my stash and the die cuts are bought from Ujjwal. The bird image is stamped and heat embossed.
